This page is for public information only, which is information which contains factual details about the functioning of the wiki. These pages cannot be vandalised and any vandalism will be dealt with.
Work in progress!
This pasta is unfinished. If this page has not been edited for a while, then contact the author about it.

The purpose of this page is NOT a guide how to make a story good or how to be descriptive when writing. We don’t expect you to be some professional, thrilling author. However, there are particular easy-to-follow standards we prefer everyone follows, as this place is meant to share decently written if not high-quality stories.

BEFORE you create a story into a page...

We are now requiring users to create their stories into a userblog before publishing their work into a page. If your story is incomplete/unfinished, it MUST be put into your userblog. This is to ensure that users are not publishing content that will eventually be deleted in the future for being unfinished for too long, and to prevent the wiki from being flooded with WIP pages. When you have completed your story, you may publish it into a page. Yes, you can add more to your work in the future! If you are publishing unfinished work into pages, it will be moved into your userblog by an administrator.

Things You Should Avoid Whilst Writing a Minecraft Creepypasta

Quick Pacing

The pacing of a story can revolve around length. To make this section as short as possible without a jack ton of information, your story should be at least over 500 words long. If it is no more than three paragraphs, it will get removed on the spot.

Clichés

A cliché is an overused exhibition of lack in orginal ideas. Clichés can vary (especially in the horror genre) from a spooky paranormal jumpscare, to the same old settings such as a haunted house at 3:00 AM or the mentioning of the "classical" beast mark, 666. While most clichés are not particularly bothersome, your story may be marked for review if there are quite a lot of them. Here is the List of Clichés for more information on this topic.

Bad Grammar

If your English may not be the grandest of the grand, we recommend you proofread your story as best as you can before posting it. We trust that most of you are over 13 and should be able to spell properly and use good punctuation. If you are going to write a story on here, you should make it readable.

However if English isn't your first language or you simply can't picture it properly in general, we strongly recommend that you take a peak at the Fundamentals in Grammar guide for better understanding.

Small note: Fundamentals in Grammar page is in the works.

Excessive Gore and Violence

Carnage can be a gruesome and bone chilling in particular settings, but it is common sense that too much blood and guts makes your story more dull than thrilling.

Sexual themes

It is against the rules of Fandom and the wiki. People want to be entertained when reading your story, not grossed out. Keep your content PG-13 or below.

Using ChatGPT or any other AI

This wiki is a place for your fantasy and creativity! Most of AI-generated storylines lacking creativity and usually made from "template", so they have similar structure and other details, making them low-effort stories. Although with that said, you can use AI to correct your sentences or structure of the article, but you cannot use it to create a whole creepypasta. Flooding wiki with low-effort AI-generated stories will result you a ban.

Translated Pastas

If you translating pasta from foreign wiki, make sure it meets all the quality standards listed above. If not, your translation will be deleted.

Language

Every single pasta must be written on English language. Pastas on other than English language will not be tolerated and will be deleted on a spot.

If you willing to write your pasta on your native language, go to corresponding MCCW:

Criticism from Fellow Users

Do not be appalled if you see a negative review on one of your stories. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and most comments such as those are usually constructive criticism meant to help you become a better writer. However, if you feel a comment left on your story was more rude than helpful, you are more than welcome to report it to a staff member.

If you are seeking detailed reviews on your story, feel free to visit the Writing Workshop to receive encouraging advice from other writers.

So What If My Story Gets Deleted?

You should receive a message from the exact staff member who removed the article. Though they will not provide a detailed review on your story, they will attempt to justify it’s removal. Please, do not feel discouraged. You have unlimited opportunities to submit another story, and the community is here to help you improve. Do not attempt to repost your original writing piece, as it will get taken down and you will be warned.

Particular stories in which staff members may feel can be improved usually contain a certain amount of quality, but if it still falls short of the standards it will be marked for review. This means the author will be given a week or more to improve their article, otherwise it will be taken down. You should also receive a direct message if this happens to your article.
