Here is a list of common things considered rank abuse, doing these could get you demoted and/or banned. This list is not targeted at anyone.
- Banning users permanently or for a long time just for saying that the admin's story isn't the best.
- Believing you are above the rules and can break them without any punishment. (The statement allowing this has been abolished.)
- Promoting users you are friends with to ranks without any particular contributions.
- Related to this, demoting or banning users you hate for personal gain.
- Forcing lower-rank users to do something a certain way you prefer.
- Related to this, forcing people to adhere to something they absolutely disagree on.
- Deleting pages without a valid reason.
- Mass-highlighting, or highlighting shitpost threads.
- Covering up constructive criticism.
- Editing other people's comments to show one-sided information (which is the definition of propaganda).
- Kicking innocent people from the chat without a good reason.
- Getting extremely angry and justifying it because you have a high rank.
- Breaking the wiki rules in general and, again, justifying it with your high rank.
- Having a high rank and adding your stories in suggested reading without any permission or public approval.

- Banning or punishing someone that you hold a personal grudge against. Unless the grudge started in this community, banning someone for just that is unfair and violates this wiki's democracy.
- Breaking wiki rules and justifying it with your high rank. This defeats the purpose of administration and moderation.
- Deleting threads or comments you don't agree with. By "don't agree with", I mean that, for example, someone likes a book that you hate.
